I’m Kristina Merchant, a Glasgow-based jewellery artist creating one-of-a-kind pieces in amber and metal. My work is inspired by my family’s pub landlady heritage, the Scottish landscape, and the tension between decay and beauty. Each piece is a performative, thought-provoking mise-en-scène, inviting the wearer to experience jewellery as both adornment and narrative.
New collection.
My new collection focuses on smaller, wearable pieces that carry the same narrative depth as my larger works. Inspired by urban Scottish landscape and my family heritage, each piece balances beauty and decay in a subtle, intimate form. These designs are perfect for everyday wear while still sparking conversation.
A pair of sculptural earrings holding warm fragments of Baltic amber-echoes of heritage and ashtray, preserved in sterling silver.
A hand cut, carved and polished pendant featuring warm tones of Baltic amber reflecting the ashtray and shared memories.
A pair of unique earrings crafted in metal referencing signs of beer bottles and the popping sounds of the pub.
